Am I too serious?
Sometimes I think I am. I like to think deeply about things and figure them out.
And sometimes that’s great. It’s helpful for me. It can be helpful to others.
But life doesn’t always require us to be so serious.
Sometimes we have to just release what happens with a more carefree attitude.
Oh, well. So what?

In a teaching by Jesus in the New Testament scriptures, he advised his followers to have this more carefree attitude when he told them not to be overly concerned about what they’ll eat or drink or wear. Look at the birds of the air, the flowers of the field. They’re not anxious about anything. And yet they’re taken care of.
Just do what you’re supposed to do, and let the rest go.
You don’t have to micromanage or overanalyze every little thing.
You can release control of expecting a perfect outcome and choose instead to walk through each thing only as it comes.
Don’t take it all so seriously. It’s never all up to you. Trust that you’ll handle whatever comes once it arrives, whatever it may be.
Oh, well. So what?
This mantra goes well with my One Word 2022: Release.
Does this attitude of “So what?” come naturally to you or do you have to work on it? (And is it partially a personality thing?) Share in the comments.
