Why are you still here?
Have you ever come close to death? Ever wished you could die?
In times of pain we might wonder why we’re still here. The answers are individual for each of us.
Twenty-one years ago today my baby Kali died. Part of me wanted to die then too.

I’m writing today at Do Not Depart for our Psalm 118 series. Will you join me there?
Happy birthday, Kali! I’ll always remember. I’ll always love.

I left a comment at do not depart, but want to say that I clicked by through the Kali post…you write so beautifully about this, Lisa. So beautifully. Thank you for sharing your story.
Even though I’m sorry we have to share this bond, I’m grateful that I get to share it with you, Mary. Blessings to you, friend.
Beautiful. I love the assurance that over each of our thousand little deaths, God breathes a thousand little resurrections. He is life. In him, death will never be permanent.
You are a compassionate person, Anita. Thank you for your words. And this beautiful truth: “In him, death will never be permanent.” Amen.
