5 Things Around the Web
1. Bible Verses to Overcome Each Enneagram Type’s Greatest Fear
The Enneagram is used as a tool for spiritual growth. This article identifies the core fear of each of the nine types and gives a Bible verse to speak directly to that fear.
2. Be Humble, and Proudly, Psychologists Say
Studies are now proving that humility is an important trait to have. (God has been saying it all along.) And that it’s hard to fake.
3. In U.S., Decline of Christianity Continues at Rapid Pace
America’s religious landscape is changing quickly.
4. How to Wash Your Hands, According to Science
Despite awareness of the importance of washing your hands, people often fail to do it properly.
5. What Makes Us All Radically Equal
It’s not our brains and it’s not our bodies. I love what David Brooks shares here.

5 Things with Words and Books
1. Nonfiction November
Want more suggestions for nonfiction books? This is your month! I’m excited I found this Nonfiction November challenge all about nonfiction. Each week we blog on a different angle of reading nonfiction.
Last week I shared My Favorite Nonfiction Books This Year. This week’s post is Match This Nonfiction Book with This Fiction Book.
There’s a separate Instagram challenge for #NonficNov. I’m posting my Instagram posts here.

Here are the official Instagram prompts for #NonficNov.
2. 7 Delightful Non-Fiction Books about Books and Reading
When you love books like many of us do, we even enjoy books about books. This list includes this one that I really love: I’d Rather Be Reading: The Delights and Dilemmas of the Reading Life by Anne Bogel
3. This Book Mattered the Most
Dan Pink asked his subscribers: What book has mattered the most to you? At least 3 of these would make my top 10 as well. You? (He kicked out any entries for his own books; that’s humble. I love all his books.)
4. Advice from Books
I get this newsletter each week because it contains short pieces of advice from books, many books that I already love. Including this one: David Allen’s, Getting Things Done (see the top 10 list above!). Here are four pieces of advice from his book.
Here are short book reviews of 4 favorite books I finished reading in October, including Indistractable and Maid.

I love, love, love the pics of your beautiful granddaughters! Such a gift! And so much joy!
(Also, that book list was inspiring!)
Lisa, I always enjoy these posts. Love the 1 second everyday video and the sweet new baby highlights with the other girls and the photos! Precious! How to wash our hands article was interesting and I’m so glad the Bible came in as the top spot for a book that changed lives!
Thank you for sharing the photos of your adorable little granddaughters! Such cuties!!! I will check out the links. I’m especially intrigued about the one by David Brooks. I think the book that mattered most in my life is “Pilgrim at Tinker Creek” by Annie Dillard (other than the Bible, of course)!
Oh, what beautiful granddaughters you have, Lisa! As always, I loved your second-a-day video and the still shots, not to mention the wonderful books you share here.
May your week be a blessed one!
The BEST part of this post are the pics of your grand girls! Sorry…the other stuff is good, but pics of grandchildren always top my list. So happy for you, my friend!! How fast they grow up!
If I haven’t said so before, congratulations on your new granddaughter! And if I have said so, well, it’s worth repeating. 🙂 They are both so beautiful.
I have only read three of the top ten list of books that people have said mattered most, but two of them would be among my top picks as well.
What precious photos of your two granddaughters, Lisa! Both in the video and in photos. The ones with you in them show me what a loving, nurturing grandma you are. It looks like your oldest one loves to help! She’ll remember it years later that her grandma let her help. 🙂 Love and blessings to you!
So much joy and cuteness! I love nonfiction too, especially biographies! Happy November Lisa!
I can completely understand why all your photos are centered around the grandkids; they are so precious!! Thanks so much for linking with us at the Encouraging Hearts and Home linky. Pinned.
…being humble is something that few of us are good at.
I love these photos. New life.New love.
of course, I always love your book lists but the photos made my evening. you are blessed indeed.
Lisa, this has to be one of my favorite blogs to visit. The pictures of your grandkids are just adorable. I need to show my mother your website. She would love this. The information you share is insightful, fun, and informative. Thank you for giving us this glimpse into who you are. It is a pleasure to read these posts each time. Be well, sister, and God bless you and yours.
Coming from Shiju’s blog – your face has such a big smile! Coming here, I know why:)
In the process of life I discovered that it becomes very easy to be humble, and no need for us being in the center of attention , is when we discover how deeply God loves us, He, the center of the universe takes care of us every day, and thinks about us all the time, and his eyes are on us, every minute.
Oh man… it doesn’t get any better than that, sister. But I know you already know that.
They’re beautiful! And congratulations on your newest baby!!!
How blessed you are! Thanks for sharing!!!
Oh the baby! And her sweet big sister!
Us Grandmas can’t get enough of this kind of joyful sweetness.
I am just so happy for you, Lisa.
