I give my word four and a half stars. I have COVID and am not responding well to the symptoms and the side effects to the medication I have been prescribed.

I found my word everywhere, in my reading and even in my thought processes.

Because of seeing it so often, I find it has made me a better follower of Jesus.

Trust became my best friend and helped me through some rather difficult times.

Like I said, TRUST gets 4 and a half stars.

Oh, no! I’m sorry to hear you have covid, Cecelia. I had it at this time last year. There’s never a good time to get sick, but around Christmas is certainly not fun. I hope you start recovering soon. I’m so glad you had such a productive year with your word! I enjoyed reading your posts on Trust and look forward to what 2025 will bring us all.

I’m glad you had a 5-star word too, Michele! Given was such an interesting pick and you really did a great job exploring it from many different angles. I can’t wait to see how our words will intersect with each other in 2025 because I know they will somehow; they always do! 🙂

  2. Retirement Reflections

Hi, Lisa – This is an excellent and very timely post. My cohosts (Sue Loncaric and Debbie Harris) and I will be hosting a WOTY Link Up on January 6. Would it be okay with you if I linked your post in mind and shared your 8 questions in my post (attributing them to you of course)? Let me know if this would be okay. If not okay, no problem at all.

    Hi Lisa,
Well I would definitely give my WOTY for 2024 ‘Change’ 5 stars, for much change was in my life & the world this year but the greatest change was within myself, I believe for the better I might add!
Blessings to you & I look forward to sharing my 2025 WOTY here.
    Jennifer

Lisa, I love this one-word concept. My word was “love,” and I rated it a 5. There was so much to love about 2024. Even when things felt heavy, I was reminded that love conquers all. I’ll be featuring your post tomorrow at The Crazy Little Lovebirds link party #70. 🙂

  5. Debbie Harris

Hi Lisa, my WOTY for 2024 was THRIVE and I give it a 4 star rating. I did thrive but sometimes life got in the way and I felt I let myself down, but I’m probably being too critical! Thanks for your great questions I’ve reflected on them privately and am happy with how my year went overall. I’m now into 2025 with a new word. It’s always a great focus for me and I keep it front and centre at all times.
