Memorizing Isaiah 55:3
Monday, February 3, begins week 3 of memorizing Isaiah 55.
This week’s verse (Feb 3-Feb 9):
Incline your ear, and come to me;
hear, that your soul may live;
and I will make with you an everlasting covenant,
my steadfast, sure love for David.
Isaiah 55:3 (ESV)
Practice with first letters:

Pay attention, come close now,

Got it… and it only took thirty minutes…
This verse means to me that we have the same love for us as our Father had for His chosen; David, “a man after God’s own heart.” His contract with us because of His love… talk about chosen. Wonderful verse.
Yay! This encourages me more than you know, Floyd. “Talk about chosen”–indeed! It’s hard to imagine God loving me as much as he loved David, but it is so. Wow.
I am going to try the first letter thing as at the moment i get one line and then the next but by the time i get the third line i have lost the first.
I hear you, Beverley. I have similar troubles. I’m going to break this verse into 4 parts in my head; that helps me remember it better (somehow). It contains such beautiful truths in each part and I don’t want to forget any.
