Memorizing Isaiah 55:2
Tomorrow begins week 2 of Hiding Isaiah 55 in My Heart.
This week’s verse (Jan 27-Feb 2):
Why do you spend your money for that which is not bread,
and your labor for that which does not satisfy?
Listen diligently to me, and eat what is good,
and delight yourselves in rich food.
Isaiah 55:2 (ESV)
Try practicing with the first letters of each word:
W d y s y m f t w i n b,
a y l f t w d n s?
L d t m, a e w i g,
a d y i r f.
From The Message:
Why do you spend your money on junk food,
your hard-earned cash on cotton candy?
Listen to me, listen well: Eat only the best,
fill yourself with only the finest.

I might not be able to put them all together at the end, but I am memorizing these every week… There’s hope for me yet.
I’m glad to hear this, Floyd! I may not be able to put them all together at the end either. ha. But spending time with one at a time each week is a reward in itself.
That’s an interesting help to memorizing – using the first letter of each word. I’ve done that for other things but not scripture! I’m going to try it. Thanks!
I thought it was odd when I first saw it, but it does help.
