You showed so much love for your m-i-l in your tender care of her, Barbara. I’m sure it’s impossible for anyone but Jesus to maintain a “happy” attitude about it all the time, but your actions proved your love. I was always inspired by what you did.

I still wrestle with guilt from our caregiving years–guilt that I often resented it and didn’t serve with love as I should. I’ve given that to the Lord and try to let the experience help me be more caring an others-focused.
