Lisa, I love the ways you offer to invite us to be intentional with our One Words. I haven’t blogged about mine a lot this year. I’ve spent a lot of time praying about all the things that have happened in our family this year, though. As I read through your post, God showed me that I am known and seen by Him through all we’ve walked through. Praying, spending time in His word . . . one can never go wrong with knowing God better, and knowing we’re known by Him. 🙂

This is moving, Donna. It reminds me SO much of our verses next week in 1 John 1:3-4 about relationship and joy!

I had a conversation with Jeff about my word Uncertainty a couple weeks ago that was quite surprising. 🙂 It was enlightening to hear a different perspective on it.

Lisa, I enjoyed engaging with my word Joy in conversations this month. Until now my journey has been a bit one sided, but God blessed me when I stepped into vulnerability sharing my word and exploring it in the lives of others! I saw a side of Joy that escaped me previously: The more I interact with others about joy, the more joy fills my heart until it overflows in acts of love creating more Joy. Ultimately creating an infinite circle of Joy from God, the source of all Joy, through me, to others and back again.

My one word for this year was/is “create” and God has really been doing so much in me and through me with that one simple, yet powerful word.

I like this month’s exercise! I’m looking forward to seeing what happens when I start using it. I’m working on a One Word Journal and would like to use this exercise in it. Would that be ok?
