Daily communication with the Lord is a wonderful way for all of us to practice our words. How amazing that you are doing this, Denise, and reaping fruit from it already. I love your distinction between fear (awe) for God versus paralyzing fear. That’s the direction I want to head with my fears too. Thanks for sharing the changes you’re seeing!

My One Word for 2021 is “Fear”. I feel God speaking to me daily as I do my devotional readings and Bible readings. I see the word fear as a profound reverence and awe to GOD and see fear that can be paralyzing in my daily life. My Life Application NKJV study Bible brings it up in many ways each day.
My fear is increasing for GOD and decreasing in what I am now calling paralyzing fear. I am finding much comfort in my chosen scripture reading of Isaiah 41:10. What a revelation to see fear in such a positive way and something I can focus on.
I look forward to all the changes that will continue to occur in the months to come with GOD’S direction. If I listen to Jesus, then I have nothing to fear, not even death. Let your faith be greater than your fear.

Lisa, your words are a great encouragement to me, it is my heart’s desire to share/teach in a way that is gentle, loving and compassionate, as that is how deals with me. It is the kindness of the lord that draws us to repentance, & beside that truth, I know too well my own failings to be harsh with someone else!

It’s been interesting to see the ways that “prevail” has been showing up with you, Joanne. It increases my own faith when I see God working like that in the lives of my friends. Thanks for your consistency in reporting in!
