Thank you for your encouraging words, Christin. The Sermon on the Mount is special to me, too. The beatitude you picked is also a beautiful one to me; it’s something we all can relate to on a physical level (hunger and thirst) which makes it easier to relate to on a spiritual level as well.

Those are two of my favorite Beatitudes as well, Ashley. I also love “Blessed are the merciful for they shall receive mercy.” As you know, our backgrounds didn’t necessarily stress grace so it has become all the sweeter to me now that I’ve discovered it.

Maybe we can recite our Matthew verses to each in person in a few weeks! 🙂 I’d love to meet Shirley one day too.
