That’s so encouraging to hear, Ashley! We may have had similar experiences growing up. I was never one to pray aloud with people at all (well, not counting kids). It was only as an adult that I began to take very tiny steps in doing it.

But through time, practice, and the Spirit at work, praying with others is now something I love to do. I still don’t always obey the promptings of the Spirit to go pray with somebody, but at least I listen closer than I did before, and sometimes I do actually follow through. And I’m always glad. Thanks for sharing your testimony here. I pray it will give others courage to start where they are and let God take it from there.

I understand totally. That’s why it was easy for me to come up with the list–I could relate to all of them at one time or another. 🙂 Thankfully the Lord doesn’t give up on us just because we have our list of excuses though. So glad He’s persistent!
