I agree, Jennifer. I appreciate when God uses repetition to catch my attention. Addressing disappointment is indeed one of those repetitive themes lately.

Thanks, Trudy. I sometimes really have to work to keep hope alive in certain circumstances. Thankfully God hopes for me when I don’t do a good job of holding hope myself. I love your puzzle analogy because I’ve been doing SO many jigsaw puzzles since March 2020. They are so soothing, and they provide so many object lessons too.

My gene pool leans toward draining that glass too. I’m married to someone who sees the glass half-full though, so maybe between the two of us, we balance each other out and get a full glass. 🙂

Yes, Jesus is the essence of authentic hope. It’s so easy to lose hope in these trying times, in our own lives, the lives of our loved ones, and in the world. I find myself, like Linda, to “continue to work hard in leaning into Christ, to find my perspective in Him.” I just finished a 1000 piece puzzle and was often reminded of how our perspectives change according to the way we look at circumstances in life. Pieces end up in the exact spots where I figured they never would and pieces I was certain must fit didn’t. It makes me all the more ask God to help us see through His eyes! Love and blessings of hope to you in all your circumstances!

I continue to work hard in leaning into Christ, to find my perspective from Him. He is patient with me as we work together to capture all the blessings and gratitudes that are all around. Even in the midst of all that’s gone horribly askew in our world.

I am so grateful He never changes.
