I'm in, Lisa! I love memorizing Scripture! Several years ago, I really felt the need to work on my memory---you know, to ward off the memory problems associated with aging. I thought, "What better thing to memorize than Scripture." So I jumped into Scripture memory. Using a website called Bible Memory, I've been able to memorize large portions of Scripture---like Psalm 145 and the entire Book of James. I am excited to memorize this terrific passage along with you.

Lisa, what a great idea to memorize those verses during anxious times. My schedule is pretty packed right now, but I'm going to pray about joining in. I'm feeling a pull to doing so.

Lisa, what an important passage to memorize. I can't say I know it word for word but I do quote most of it often in the process of counseling and spend time reading and walking through it with many of my counselees. That's how I memorize most of the passages I know ... that constant use and repetition.

My counseling seems to run in cycles. I will often end up spending time with 2 or 3 ladies who are struggling with the same issue so God gives me time to really drive some passages down into my own heart.

I love Psalm 119.11, "Your word I have hidden in my heart, That I might not sin against You." I'm acutely aware of just how much I need His Word ready for remembering at a moment's notice. Memorization is the key.
