Yes, definitely don't overdo. If anything, "underdo". Interesting thing about yoga is that, unlike other kinds of exercise, the goals are not "objective" --- stretch this far, hold for this long. The goal is to deepen our awareness of our own body --- that is unique to each of us. eg in Seated Forward Bend I bend my knees slightly so I can relax into the bend and notice how my spine is lifting and stretching in the right way. The feeling during a yoga session seems close to prayer or meditiation --- I'd love to clinch the connection somehow ---, certainly closer to that than to a workout at the gymn.

I think Daniel Pink would totally agree with you that using regret as fuel for future activities is the best use of it. And I agree with you that once we confess to the Lord, he forgives us for it and we can move forward. Easier said than done, however! :) But nonetheless, even though I'm sure you had days where you might have felt out-of-sorts taking care of your m-i-l, you DID take care of her beautifully and faithfully and I have deep respect for your loving actions with her. Well done!

I didn't specifically match my yoga practice with meditation or prayer, but it often did fall into that. Unfortunately once I finished the 30-day challenge, I didn't immediately roll into another challenge. I've been taking a hiatus and haven't begun again. I had extra pain in some of my joints during the time period, so I'm taking a two-week break to see if it is related or not. Hopefully it's not related to yoga and I can resume without fear that it's doing any harm. My guess is that the stretches and positions of yoga would be only helpful, not harmful, as long as I don't overdo.

Ooh, I love your insight, Ashley: if we hadn't made these mistakes, we might have made other ones with potentially even worse outcomes. That's helpful to me. Thanks!

My husband and I have been discussing regrets lately. My husband is about to turn 50, and he's been having some regrets. I'm sure I'll have another round myself one day, but thankfully that's not now...and I was able to help him through his round. My biggest take-away from my last round with regrets was this: if we hadn't made those mistakes, we would have made others—and potentially worse ones.

Thanks so much for the feature this week. That was a sweet surprise this sluggish Monday morning.
