This one stood out to me: “In our bones, we know that God hates unrighteous “bad” works; we’re not nearly so convinced that he hates self-righteous “good” works just as much, if not more.”

And this: “In fact, the most dangerous thing that can happen to you is that you become proud of your obedience.”

Dear Lisa
Yes, we can so easily get trapped in the dangerous trap of religion; our efforts to please God or earn His salvation. But this is the most dangerous deception of all as we see on the letter to the Gallatians. Christianity is Jesus living in us and through us and we living dependently from His grace every moment of every day. Christ in me, my hope of glory (Col.1:27). Great post, dear friend.

Thank you for sharing so much today, Lisa. It was definitely worth the read! My favorite was this, “The truth is, disobedience happens not when we think too much of grace, but when we think too little of it.” Gives me something to ponder today as I work around the house! xo
