Thank you for featuring my post, Lisa. I happened to be away enjoying the present in the Rocky Mountains the day it was posted. Sometimes it is getting away that also helps us get present again! I tend to keep a backpack packed of essentials so I am pre-packed when I travel. I guess that is defined as planning ahead to help with the present! Have a wonderful trip!

Lisa, I'll look forward to reading the recommended blog, but just had to tell you: When I read your post I laughed aloud! When I went to Iona, I quite LITERALLY packed for MONTH. I kid you not. I took over our long dining room table, and laid everything out, checking and double-checking and even removing and replacing things over the course of one month. I was to be gone on an overseas adventure alone (can't still believe I actually did this) to join a group of women in Oban, Scotland on a spiritual retreat, later to travel by ferryboat, van, and another ferryboat to the remote Isle of Iona). I also was vastly restricted to luggage size and one small carry-on. So I had to get this right. But I do tend to become overwhelmed with packing. Can you tell?! :) That is the perfectionist in me.... but maybe also the worrier to be ready for every, single possibility. Were I enjoying the now, I wouldn't have time to fear the future! Ok, heading over now for the blog about Now!
