Lisa, I love what you’ve done with helping us stay intentional with our One Words this year. My year and the lessons learned and the life lived doesn’t seem to line up with the word. I’ve been praying for God to show me what He’s been teaching me in relation to my 2021 one word. And yes, I’ve begun praying about my 2022 One Word. 🙂
I appreciate your honesty here, Jeanne. I’ve had years when my word really clicked, and years when I could barely remember it. I’ve been praying about my 2022 word as well; joining you in those prayers!
I’m not sure about next year, Lisa. I’m beginning to figure out what blogging might look like in the season ahead with more opportunities to be out and about …
Actually what might life look like now that we’re spreading our wings a bit again?
;-}
I’m excited to see how things are going to look too, Linda. I feel change is in the air again. Keep us posted on your decisions about blogging; I appreciate hearing how your gears turn because it helps turn mine as well.
“Use this month to see if your 2021 word is leading you into a new word for 2022. Or if you’ll go an entirely different direction with your word.” You’ve got me intentionally thinking about where I am grow better next year!
Good! And I love how you phrase it, Lynn: “where I can grow better”. I’ll borrow that for myself. 🙂
For 2020 my “word” was attitude of gratitude which seemed to flow naturally into Abide being my 2021 word. Do I continue to follow the flow or do I go in another direction?
It’ll be interesting to see which direction you will go, Barb! I have really enjoyed following along your journey with Abide. It’s helped me to abide more, too!
I’ve started to think about my word and it seems to be coming through strong today. Thanks for creating these roundups that keep me mindful of my WOTY, Lisa.
Ooh, that’s exciting, Corinne! I look forward to hearing about your new word when you’re ready to reveal it. I’ve started praying about a few, but nothing is coming in loud and clear yet.
I think I know my word for next year. It’s pretty typical for me to know it in October or November and then I pray over it and do a little research to confirm it. It seems every like year as I work on my word it naturally leads me to the next one. I’ve never struggled to come with one before the new year begins.
I look forward to hearing what your new word is, Kim! I’ve loved BELIEVE and the ways the Lord has been sprinkling it around for you (and for us!). This year was one of the first ones that I kept wrestling with my word until the very end of December. I pray God will have mercy on me in 2022 and make it easier. 🙂
