In reply to Ceil. I’ve followed Michael Hyatt for awhile—he always has some great tips on a variety of things. They’re not always applicable to me so I rarely listen to his podcasts, but occasionally there will be one that is spot on. The Evernote one was so good. He has a lot of Evernote posts on his blog too if you’re interested in getting started with it.

In reply to Jean Wise. Jenna does have some sweet stories and some heart-breaking stories from her time in Guatemala. She's glad to be home but still misses being there all at the same time. We all can understand that. I hope to share some stuff soon.

Hi Lisa! So many good things here! I also read Jean’s blog and loved the dirt in the water metaphor. And I’ve just started to follow Michael Hyatt, so I haven’t seen the Evernote info. Not even sure what it is. He really helps me get up to speed!

Great news about your family coming back. I LOVE the idea of the candy-a-day thing. How sweet! (on so many levels!!) My husband never remembers his phone number. I always have to tell him!

In reply to Barbara H.. Once you take the plunge into Evernote, I think you'll love it, Barbara. There's a slight learning curve but nothing drastic. Just think of it as an expanded Pinterest. :) Hope you and your family have a wonderful 4th too! I wonder what Timothy will think of the fireworks this year. Some kids love them; some hate them.

I really, really liked the jar metaphor for patience. I’m a big fan of *visuals.* One reason I liked it, too, is because sometimes it really does take time for the “mud to settle.” Situations and relationships can get all confused and muddled sometimes, and the gift of time, and waiting on God’s timing, often leads us to a perfectly clear resolution.

What a neat idea to have candy in a jar to mark the days until someone comes home!

I have not yet figured out Evernote, though I keep hearing it is wonderful.
