In reply to Mindy. Every time we fall, his grace catches us--that is beautiful imagery to add, Mindy. Because we will all have times we continue to be judgmental and not see others as he does, but he will help us get up and try again and again. So grateful. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

This story tears at me, Beverley. (But I love that you described this woman as “beautiful”–it shows your heart.) It’s painful to hear other people cut down others so cruelly. I heard that people were shaming Kate Middleton for having a stomach in the pictures of her and her baby. Crazy.

It is so easy to judge even f we only do so for a moment, but you are right we do not know why something is the way it is or why someone is dressed the way they are. Recently i was sat in the bus station watching a young couple struggle to get a buggy onto a bus. I saw a beautiful woman recovering from giving birth, not everyone can get back into their tiny size jeans straight away. i noticed how the new man bent down to lift the buggy onto the bus and helped with some of the bags. However a man, neatly dressed who was sat opposite me turned to the lady next to her and started loudly ‘look at that, you would think she would find something better to wear, what a disgrace’ plainly talking about the young woman. Neither i no the woman next to her knew what to say or where to look. Some people are out and out cruel. Our thoughts may judge us but our words and actions will judge us more.

I hate it when I forget I am the wretch, and that I was saved by a greater love than any of us could ever explain, and instead want to get people just like me away from me. Do I do it as often as I used to? No – but that I do it at all is my yardstick of how much work I have yet to do clearing away the deadwood and surrendering yet another room in my heart to Him.
