This week, God has been reminding me to look for His answers. This story reminds me that we have to wade through a lot sometimes to be the answer to someone else’s prayers – or the prayers of a mother’s heart – or to walk out the answers to our own. God orchestrates, but we have to do the work and we need to be paying attention. This was such a good reminder to me today!

You articulate the way we should surrender to what happens to us andthe power of the choice we have in response. I was in the checkout line at Walmart the other day, and had a similar experience because, well, Walmart, but I was able to relax and appreciate the moment that took forever to purchase my 5 items because, well, how important is it I get out of there sooner rather than later? After all, I was able to miss the brief downpour outside while I waited in the shelter of the store. Thanks for the reminder to number our days.

You reminded me of the time my dad was in ICU and we bumped into a woman we knew whose husband was also in the ICU. We spent time praying for her husband and encouraging her. This >> “I want to pay attention to people, to God-moments, to opportunities to love and be loved. Not just how to increase productivity and efficiency.” Amen. This is my prayer as well. Sacred moments are all around us, if we only have eyes opened to see them.

I tend to be a bit OCD so I focus on my time management skills. I am great with them at work in the classroom but at home….i tend to let my “to do” list take over and am learning to allow GOD to direct my steps….that might include some waiting or some interruptions for some God moments (like when the phone rang and it was my BFF sobbing about her brother being in ICU and I wanted to finish my painting project….but…GOD!!).
