Yes, the policeman’s (Javert) end is sad to me too (I’ve only seen the movies so far). There’s already lots of sadness in the book, but yes, redemption as well. Love that theme for those willing to accept it!

Peeking in and grinning at your list here. Ooh, Les Mis is so powerful. My man and I appreciated the powerful elements that came out in the movie. I kept hoping that the policeman (Jean Val Jean?) would choose redemption and moving on, but he didn’t. His ending is sad to me.

I just picked up some books at the library too and am eager to read them on a road trip soon.

If it’s one I think I’ll refer to again and again I choose hardback.
Because eventually the Kindle will quit working, then I won’t have it at all.

The busyness is pretty well spread out so nothing seems too overwhelming. Jenna is coming home this weekend though for a couple weeks! So life will speed up some with her here, but that’s okay. And thanks so much for your encouraging words; they mean a lot to me.

It makes me cry to watch. Morgan went on giggling for awhile as she held Jenna. 🙂 I’m hoping I still have the camcorder tape that might be clearer, and I can connect to record a DVD from that.
