Definitely keep up the pressure, Linda! Just enjoy the verses and enjoy them and enjoy them. Whether or not memorize every word is not as important as being blessed by the message that God is with us and is so good to us.

In reply to Sharon. Totally agree, Sharon. The more variety of ways to get something into us, the more likely it'll stay. I'm always amazed at how song lyrics come so easily from a song I hadn't heard in years and years. Singing definitely resides in a special place in our soul.

I like the idea of singing as a memorization tool. I remember learning that anytime we can use more than one way of incorporating knowledge, we’ll be much more successful. I have an idea that this is one reason why Scripture-journaling is so meaningful.

I’m still struggling, finalizing verse 2. I’ve taken the pressure off, just keeping my Bible open on my dresser, checking in when I walk by.
