Aw, Lisa … good for you to give the mermaids a try during bath time. What special memories you and Jeff are creating for your grandchildren. 🙂 (I’m much more comfortable with story books too … someday, Lord willing, I’ll be reading stacks of them to my own grandchildren!)

Lisa, I love this. And I love that you told a story of the mermaids for bath time-perfect fit for water! My grandkids like for me to tell them stories of my children when they were little (their mom and uncle), and even stories of me and my twin sister when we were little. But fiction tales are so fun too!

What a great resource — especially for grandparents! I love that the best stories involve relationships. Jesus was/is a master storyteller and He always focused on His relationship with the person in the story. Great stuff!

In reply to Barbara Harper. I did learn some things from the book. I think the main thing is just to practice doing it more often! That's the hard part for me. ha. The oldest granddaughter is old enough now for us to have a lot of "imaginative play" together, but I just haven't ventured into the storytelling too much. :)

How fun about the cute mermaids being used with both daughters and granddaughters! I don’t think I told many off-the-top-of-my-head stories, either. That book might be a good investment!
