To Kill a Mockingbird should now be officially considered as much a classic as Huckleberry Finn. I was disappointed in Harper Lee’s so-called sequel; it was a letdown in comparison. But I did enjoy The Land of Sweet Forever, which was a memoir. Turns out she was not quite the recluse she was made out to be.

Wow what a mixture of books you read this month! I read “This Changes Everything” and his lesson is exactly what the quote your shared states…“To die with gratitude, you must learn to live with gratitude. To die with a joyful heart, you must learn to live with a joyful heart. To die surrounded by love, you must live surrounded by love. To die in peace, you must learn to live in peace. To die well, you must learn to live well.” I learned a lot from this book as it was written by a black American man so it gave an insight for me that is far from my cultural norm. Bernie

You have some good sounding books here. I listened to a TedX by Adam Gant about the givers, takers, etc. it was really good.

We read To Kill A Mockingbird in classic book club a couple of years ago. Even though I’d read it a a child, I don’t think I really appreciated it until now.

That is an interesting selection of books! 100 Things We’ve Lost to the Internet sounds like something I would enjoy reading.
I’ve never read Huckleberry Finn, but I saw a TV series as a child and remember the character of Jim.

In reply to Erin @ Cracker Crumb Life. The book on Apologies has been so insightful so far. It makes me much more aware of what is an effective apology and what is not. Spoiler alert: many apologies are NOT! ha. We often know instinctively whether one is genuine or not.
