In reply to Barbara H.. I do find it's better for me too to go slow versus fast. I don't want to just be checking the box, but really trying to absorb new truth through the ancient words. It always amazes me how the Spirit breathes fresh life into them over and over again!

Thanks for reprinting this. I was just telling someone recently that I like reading the Bible through, for many reasons, but I don’t do so in a year any more. I’m not sure how long it takes me – I go slower in some places, more quickly in others. I’ve heard several people mention reading the Bible chronologically, and I think I’d like to do that next time through.
